On
behalf of UGC, the National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for
determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for
Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility
for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges. Till
recently, the CBSE conducted the NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected
Cities of spread across the country. From Dec 2018 onwards, the UGC-
NET (for Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research
Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor both), will be
conducted by the NTA. NTA UGC NET 2018. Name of Examination: NTA UGC NET 2018
Educational Qualification: Candidate should passed Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of OBC falling in Non Creamy layer/ SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates).
Age Limit: as on 01 December 2018 [SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Transgender: 05 years Relaxation]
- JRF: 30 years
- Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for Assistant Professor.
